I recently paid a visit to Oddfellows Cafe + Bar on Capitol Hill for a cold beverage and was surprised to learn they have a great outdoor patio in the back of the restaurant. I checked it out, sipped a Guinness and enjoyed the good vibe. It was intimate, artsy and full of character. I’ll definitely be back.
Like most Saturdays, I like to mix up my casual look with dapper accessories and sometimes a blazer. For this look, I went with a pair of camouflage chinos. Camo adds visual interest to any ensemble, especially when it comes to suiting. The shoes are a pair of my favorite loafers. They were a consignment boutique find, and I’ve noticed myself reaching for them daily. I can’t say enough about the style, color and comfort of these beauties. With loafers, I cuff my pants and wear no-show socks, a necessity for every gentleman’s spring/summer wardrobe. A blazer isn’t essential to achieve the look, but spring weather in Seattle often requires some lightweight layering. Alternatively, a denim jacket would be a great substitute.
If you’re taking your mother to brunch this weekend and really want to make her smile, try this look!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mothers out there, especially my very own.
Until next time,
Curtis Bright
