Winter Layering

Winter’s officially here and temperatures are low, so it’s time to get creative with layering. Vests are one of those stand-alone pieces that add depth to any look, so when I recently discovered this wool vest while visiting the Filson flagship store, I had to have it. I really dig its rugged Pacific Northwest outdoorsmen vibe, but the notched lapel adds a dressier and unexpected element for the perfect balance.

During these winter months, scarves are an affordable way to elevate any look without compromising warmth or style. The problem I often hear from men is they don’t know how to tie them. I’ve got the perfect solution. This cable knit infinity scarf I’m wearing is a hassle-free alternative for those that struggle with tying scarves. Simply pull it over your head and you’re good to go.

Even though it’s chilly here in Seattle, you guys know me well enough to know that I wear loafers all year long. I attribute my high tolerance for cold weather to my Alaskan upbringing. Once again, I partnered with Florsheim to finish off the look with a pair of penny loafers complete with actual coins into the slots.

Cheers,

Curtis Bright
