Vintage Rucksack

I mainly get around the city on foot or public transit, so I’m always carrying my personal things around town with me. This is where a large carryall bag comes in handy. Typically, I use a messenger bag, which looks good while still being multifunctional. But during a recent visit to E. Smith Mercantile, a shop known for carrying a collection of Americana-style heritage products found around the U.S.-I happened upon this vintage Vietnam-era military rucksack. It’s simple and aged to perfection. The unique character of the bag really speaks to me.

I often like to create a high/low effect with my style. When paired with tailored clothing, this bag does just that. It is unexpected and provides balance to the look.

You can find more “E. Smith Vintage Goods” directly on their website or in-store if you’re in the neighborhood.
