With warm weather fast approaching, it’s time to step up your summer wardrobe. Lightweight, breathable fabrics are your best options for remaining comfortable throughout this season of outdoor weddings and parties. I recommend linen separates and seersucker for these special occasions. Next time we’ll talk linen, but today let’s focus on the summertime classic, seersucker, also known as “Milk and Sugar” for its unique combination of stripes that are smooth (like milk) and rough (like sugar).
Seersucker is as much functional as it is dapper. Seersucker is not only synonymous with summer style, but it also resists wrinkles, which makes it perfect for travel to destination weddings. Combined with a white linen dress shirt, you’ll literally be the coolest cat at the party. For this look, I mixed things up with suit separates, but I highly recommend rocking full seersucker if it suits you. I topped things off with a pair of tassel loafers and aviator sunglasses.
Try this look out at the next wedding you attend and let me know how it goes!
My apologies for the recent posting delays. I’ve been doing a bit of wedding travel myself and we’re also working on new content for you guys to get you through the summer in style. Do you follow us on Instagram? Check out The Bright Report @curtisbright.
